Kathleen and Lauritz will be speaking at the FONDA workshop on Reducing the Carbon Emissions of Large-Scale Computational Data Analysis, which will take place on 25 and 26 November at Humboldt University of Berlin.

Kathleen will present results from the research she has been driving on carbon-aware scientific workflow execution, highlighting the significant potential as well as important challenges. This will align with the work we presented at CCGrid 2025 earlier this year, which we have continued since, so that an extended journal article is currently under review.

Lauritz will talk about our work on estimating the energy consumption and carbon emissions of batch processing systems on compute clusters, aligned with the talk we had at LOCO 2024. This is also an ongoing effort.
